As Risk, Control & Compliance Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in protecting the organisation by ensuring tax-related risks are effectively identified, assessed, managed, and monitored across the business.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end tax risk, control, and compliance framework, influencing key decisions and driving transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, you will embed robust risk management practices into business operations, enabling confident decision-making while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Lead enterprise risk identification, assessment, prioritisation, and response activities, including maintenance of the risk register and tracking of risk profile changes.
  • Design and maintain control objectives and control frameworks aligned to underlying risks and process objectives.
  • Monitor risk exposures and control effectiveness through KRIs, embedded reviews, and ongoing validation of mitigation plans.
  • Deploy new or enhanced controls, including planning, testing, acceptance, rollout, and initial performance monitoring.
  • Analyse, record, and report risk data and events from internal and external sources to support governance and compliance.
  • Govern and sign off key compliance processes.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Certified Tax Advisor (UK tax).
  • Relevant Accountancy qualification.
  • Experience operating within complex business environment.
  • Ability to operate effectively with ambiguity and complexity.
