Risk Control Officer
SALARY: from £29,854 dependent on experience
LOCATION: Milton Keynes
HYBRID WORKING: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.
HOURS / CONTRACT TYPE: Full Time Permanent (35 hours per week)

We’re looking for a Risk Control Officer to provide extensive administration and analytical support for the Enterprise Risk Management framework and to support the framework of the Enterprise Risk Committee and the Operational Risk & Financial Crime Risk Committee.
This administrative role will be instrumental in delivering collaboration with the wider Risk Control team, Senior Management team and up to Board of Management level to achieve the high quality risk reporting through the design and production of accurate, appropriate and timely risk reporting
What you’ll be doing:
- Develops and prepares all agendas through consultation with relevant Chair and senior management to ensure all standard agenda items are addressed.
- Collates and organises materials for committees; quality reviews for consistency, accuracy and timeliness of data reported; challenges inconsistencies / errors.
- Distributes meeting packs electronically as required and within agreed timeframes for each committee.
- Produces technically accurate and comprehensive minutes from the material risk committees and ERC which are a true reflection of the confidential discussions held. Ensure decisions made are recorded appropriately with all relevant actions captured.
- Manages and owns the risk committees meeting schedules, planning the meeting schedules and associated business calendars to ensure the risk committee meetings take place in the correct sequence to allow efficient upward reporting to the Board of Management.
- Responsible for the annual review cycle of the Terms of Reference for the material risk committees and ERC. Ensuring membership and content are correct and appropriate.
- Maintaining strategic crisis management documentation and reporting.

What you’ll bring:
You’ll be an individual with excellent attention to detail and the ability to be discreet and treat their work with confidentiality.
You’ll have a passion for accuracy to detail with the ability to work to deadlines.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Solid previous experience within Automotive finance or the banking industry.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for minute taking and production of committee packs; critically important that committee minutes are accurate and reflect the discussions held at the committees.
- A detailed thinker, able to understand multi-threaded arguments and draw clear and concise conclusions.
- Ability to treat confidential conversations and information with required discretion.
- Able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines, whilst paying attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate at all levels including Senior Management.
