Job Opportunity: Risk Investigator

Location: United Kingdom (Hybrid Working Available)
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
Contract Length: 12 Months
Daily Rate: £263.28 - £292.56 (Inside IR35)
Working Pattern: Full Time

Are you passionate about human rights and social impact? Our client, a leading organisation dedicated to ethical practices, is seeking a dynamic Risk Investigator II to join their Human Rights and Social Impact team in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful change while working alongside experienced professionals, including the Complaints Mechanism Lead and EMEA Regional Remediation Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Risk Investigator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that human rights and environmental complaints are addressed effectively. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Triaging Requests: Utilise an AI-assisted classification tool to assess incoming human rights and environmental complaints efficiently.
  • Complaint Management: Create and manage investigation records, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up on corrective action plans with business units.
  • Remediation Support: Assist in basic remediation case management across the EMEA region, tracking timelines and escalating overdue cases to maintain progress.

Who Should Apply:

Our client is looking for candidates with a robust background in social compliance or social auditing, ideally with experience in grievance mechanisms and supply chain due diligence frameworks such as SA8000, SMETA, or the UN Guiding Principles (UNGPs). The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong Written Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing projects, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  • Stakeholder Management Experience: Skilled at navigating relationships with various stakeholders to promote collaboration and effective resolution of issues.
  • Independent Work Ethic: Capacity to work autonomously while delivering quality results in a fast-paced environment.
