Risk Lawyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk Lawyer to join a prestigious top tier law firm in London. This position offers the chance to advise on a diverse range of regulatory, professional conduct and risk management matters, whilst contributing to strategic initiatives across an international network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on a wide range of regulatory compliance, professional conduct, governance and legal risk matters across the firm's international network.
  • Developing and enhancing compliance policies, procedures and risk management frameworks.
  • Managing regulatory incidents and potential breaches, including supporting engagement and reporting to the SRA.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments, assessing their implications and advising stakeholders on compliance obligations.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives, including ESG projects, and delivering regulatory training.
  • Supervising junior colleagues and promoting a proactive compliance culture.

This opportunity would suit a qualified lawyer with 2+ years' PQE and broad regulatory compliance experience, ideally gained within a law firm or international professional services environment. A strong understanding of regulatory risk, governance and compliance frameworks is important, alongside practical experience advising internal stakeholders and developing or implementing policies and procedures. Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills, together with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, will be essential.
