As a Governance Associate in Risk Management & Compliance, you support governance activities that help ensure effective oversight of risk management processes and initiatives. You will contribute to the governance framework for new products and services while supporting legal entity risk governance activities across North America. Working with stakeholders across the organization, you will help drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support governance of Commercial & Investment Bank Risk's operating model for engagement in the New Product Assessment program.
  • Maintain governance documentation and provide training to stakeholders as needed.
  • Support engagement with firmwide and Commercial & Investment Bank New Product Assessment teams and governance forums.
  • Manage New Product Assessment reporting, including identifying opportunities to automate reporting processes.
  • Provide administrative support for selected New Product Assessments and partner with business managers to track timely completion.
  • Contribute to prioritization and implementation of enhancement initiatives related to the New Product Assessment program.
  • Support North America legal entity risk governance activities.
  • Assist in preparing information and responses to regulatory requests.
  • Prepare materials for legal entity governance meetings, including risk forums and legal entity board meetings.
  • Participate in, and where appropriate lead, projects that impact legal entity risk management in North America.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Relevant experience in financial services or a related field, with exposure to risk management, compliance, internal audit, external audit, or another control function.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics to senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with familiarity with artificial intelligence and large language model capabilities.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities from initiation through completion.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Ability to assess processes holistically and recommend improvements.
  • Knowledge of risk management concepts, including liquidity risk, country risk, market risk, and credit risk.
  • Experience building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
