About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, commercially minded and intellectually curious Risk Officer to join a leading specialist insurance organisation within its Risk & Compliance function.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the risk management of complex insurance and reinsurance operations across multiple regulated entities and jurisdictions. The role provides broad exposure to underwriting, operational, strategic and regulatory risks and offers close collaboration with senior business leaders and the wider Risk & Compliance team.

Success in this role will depend on your ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, provide constructive challenge, and influence decision-making to support effective risk management across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of the business, market environment and regulatory landscape to provide effective second-line oversight and challenge.
  • Conduct independent risk reviews, delivering both quantitative and qualitative insights and practical risk management recommendations.
  • Support business stakeholders in identifying, assessing and managing current and emerging risks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
