Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Dublin, Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Reading whilst other SSER locations can be considered.

Salary: €76,100 - €110,000/£59,800 - £85,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role

As Risk Manager, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of a major Offshore Wind capital project. Actively involved in the identification, management and development of mitigation strategies for Project Risks, you'll take ownership of the Project's risk management approach, including QCRA and QSRA activities.

Working closely with the Project Services Manager, Project Managers, Package Managers and wider Capital Projects team, you'll be at the heart of project decision-making, providing the insight and analysis needed to manage risk, drive performance and support successful outcomes.

This is an opportunity to influence the delivery of a complex, high-profile project, working across multiple stakeholders, contractors and work packages. You will

Risk Standards, Tools & Process: development and implementation of consistent and best practice Project Risk Management standards, tools and processes.

Quantitative Risk Analysis: Both QCRA and QSRA - Lead the quantitative risk analysis process on projects to define Contingency requirements and ensure that projects have a live view of their risk exposure position. Lead the Schedule Risk Analysis work on projects to provide assurance of project delivery timelines and help manage key schedule risks and pinch points.

Risk Mitigation and Opportunity Development: Work closely with the project delivery and leadership teams to identify and implement effective management strategies for risks and opportunities, with a focus on both protecting and delivering improvements to project business case.

Facilitate Successful Delivery against the agreed Project Business Case: work closely with Project and Package Managers, Finance and Commercial teams to ensure that informed decisions are being made in the best interests of the overall business case for the project

Engagement with Project and Executive Leadership teams and Key External Stakeholders: ensure project and executive leadership teams have a full understanding of project risk position – be able to clearly and concisely summarise complex information into a concise and accurate overview of key issues.

You have

  • Experience leading the risk management function in a major project environment.
  • An understanding of how risks and opportunities can impact upon the business case of a project and how these can be managed to safeguard successful delivery.
  • The ability to synthesise large amounts of complex project information in order to provide concise evaluations of best courses of action to senior management and leadership teams.
  • Experience of running quantitative risk analysis models and presenting outputs in a clear and concise way.
  • The ability to take an objective overview of issues and act both as a single source of truth trusted advisor to project leadership, and also as a key part of the project decision making process.
