Risk Manager
📍 London / Hybrid
💷 £80,000 - £90,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Our client, a well-established insurance organisation, is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join its growing Risk function. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented risk professional to play a key role in the continued development and embedding of enterprise risk management practices across the business.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will help enhance the risk management framework, support effective governance, and provide robust challenge across a broad range of strategic, operational, and regulatory risks. The role offers significant visibility and the opportunity to influence decision-making at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Facilitate risk assessments and Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) across the business.
- Monitor and report on risk appetite, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and emerging risks.
- Produce insightful risk reporting for senior management and governance committees.
- Lead thematic reviews and deep-dive assessments.
- Challenge and support first-line stakeholders in the identification and management of risks.
- Support the embedding of a strong risk culture across the organisation.
- Contribute to regulatory and governance activities as required.

Experience & Skills
- Demonstrable experience within Enterprise Risk Management.
- Strong understanding of risk frameworks, governance, risk appetite, and reporting.
- Experience facilitating risk workshops and RCSAs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and influence decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Desirable
- Experience gained within the London Market insurance sector, including insurers, Lloyd's syndicates, MGAs, brokers, or delegated authority businesses.
- Exposure to regulatory environments including FCA, PRA, and Lloyd's.
- Experience supporting ORSA, thematic reviews, or wider risk framework development.
- Professional qualifications in Risk Management, Governance, Audit, or a related field.
