Job Title: Risk Manager

About the Role

We're looking for a Risk Manager who can work across the business, build strong relationships, and help teams identify, understand, and manage risks in a practical and proportionate way.

This is a highly visible role, working with colleagues at all levels, from operational teams through to senior leadership and the Board. You'll help embed our risk management framework, facilitate meaningful discussions around risk, and provide clear reporting that supports effective decision-making.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a pragmatic approach. We can develop technical risk management knowledge, but we're looking for someone who can engage people, challenge constructively, and turn risk concepts into practical actions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the continued development and embedding of our risk management framework.
  • Working with teams across the business to identify, understand, and manage risks.
  • Facilitating risk workshops that encourage open discussion and ownership.
  • Providing practical advice and guidance on risk management and controls.
  • Promoting risk awareness through training, coaching, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Producing clear risk reporting for senior management, the Executive Team, and the Board.
  • Maintaining the corporate risk management system and supporting risk-related reporting requirements.

What We're Looking For

You'll be someone who:

  • Builds strong relationships and works effectively with people at all levels.
  • Has excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Takes a practical, common-sense approach to problem-solving.
  • Can confidently influence and challenge in a constructive way.
  • Understands how different parts of a business work together and where risks can arise.
  • Can translate complex issues into clear and actionable insights.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
