Our client is looking for an insurance risk professional who enjoys influencing business decisions, providing constructive challenge, and partnering with senior stakeholders.
This is a newly created role to join a high-performing Second Line Risk team within a leading UK General Insurance organisation. This opportunity will play a key role in overseeing financial and insurance risks across underwriting, pricing, reserving and capital management, helping the business achieve sustainable growth while maintaining strong governance and customer outcomes.

What you'll be doing:
- Providing independent oversight and challenge of underwriting, pricing and risk models.
- Monitoring key insurance risks including pricing adequacy, reserving, capital, claims inflation and portfolio performance.
- Supporting risk governance, reporting and senior management committees.
- Advising on new products, pricing changes and strategic business initiatives.
- Partnering with underwriting, actuarial, finance and executive teams to drive effective risk management.
Experience required:
- General Insurance industry experience, ideally across Risk, Pricing, Actuarial or Underwriting.
- Strong understanding of insurance risk management frameworks and model governance.
- Knowledge of Solvency UK, ORSA and UK regulatory requirements.
- Ability to analyse complex issues and provide clear, pragmatic challenge.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence engaging senior leaders.
