A Prestigious International Law Firm Seeks a Risk Manager

A prestigious international law firm is seeking a dedicated Risk Manager to join their London office, offering you the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and safeguarding the firm's risk and compliance landscape.

This position places you at the heart of a knowledgeable and supportive team, where your expertise will be valued and your contributions will directly impact the organisation's ongoing success. You will benefit from flexible working opportunities, comprehensive training programmes, and the chance to work alongside respected professionals who are committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment. What You'll Do

  • Take overall responsibility for managing the Risk Team inbox, ensuring all tasks are addressed efficiently while providing analysts with diverse assignments and learning experiences.
  • Serve as a key escalation point for fellow Risk Analysts, offering guidance on complex compliance queries raised by internal clients across fee-earning and business support departments.
  • Demonstrate supportive leadership by overseeing day-to-day line management of Risk Analyst(s), conducting routine check-ins, performance appraisals, and fostering a nurturing team culture.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions to Risk team members on various risk-related topics, identifying gaps in knowledge and contributing effective solutions.
  • Actively participate in recruitment processes in partnership with senior management, helping to attract and onboard talented professionals into the team.
  • Support the Conflicts Manager with resolving escalated conflict matters when required, ensuring sensitive issues are handled with diplomacy and tact.
  • Review and advise on client terms in collaboration with the Client Terms Team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while balancing commercial considerations.
  • Design and conduct firm-wide training sessions on compliance and risk issues—including induction programmes—while continuously enhancing content based on evolving needs.
  • Lead internal risk assessments, audits, and investigations to ensure robust compliance standards are maintained throughout the organisation.
  • Manage complex data protection matters such as intricate data breaches or data subject access requests, adhering strictly to firm protocols.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
