Our client, a leading insurance business is seeking to appoint a Risk Manager to join its Enterprise Risk Management function based in the City of London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced risk professional looking to develop their career within a broad second-line Enterprise Risk Management role, working closely with senior stakeholders and first-line teams across the business. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery and continued development of the Group's ERM framework, with exposure across ORSA, Risk Appetite, RCSA, risk assessments and senior risk reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and project manage the ORSA process, including quarterly and annual reporting
  • Develop and deliver "deep dives" and thematic risk reviews
  • Support the implementation and development of the ERM Framework
  • Provide effective second-line risk challenge to the business
  • Support the quarterly Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process
  • Support implementation of the Risk Appetite Framework, including quarterly metrics
  • Produce and analyse risk MI and reporting for senior management and committees
  • Build strong relationships with first-line teams including Underwriting, Claims and Third Party Capital
  • Promote risk management best practice and support risk training across the Group

We are looking for a risk professional with:

  • Strong Enterprise Risk Management / ERM experience
  • Knowledge of ORSA, Risk Appetite and RCSA
  • Experience undertaking risk assessments and providing effective challenge
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Excellent analytical, project management and report-writing abilities
  • Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders
  • Insurance / London Market experience is essential
  • A commercial outlook and desire to partner with the business

This role would suit an experienced Risk Manager, Enterprise Risk Manager, ERM Analyst or Senior Risk Analyst who is looking for a broader role with significant exposure across the business and the opportunity to develop their ERM career.

Salary: £75,000 + benefits & bonus potential

Hybrid working - 3 days in the office.
