About the Role

This is a key role within the Risk function to support the Senior Risk Manager in a small but busy team focusing primarily on the investment / asset management division which is part of a larger Affluent Business Partnering Risk team.
We work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business. You will work alongside our Risk and Compliance colleagues across the Risk function.
As a key member of the wider Risk and Compliance community you will have opportunities to learn about other areas of the Quilter business.
This is an ideal role for someone who has experience of operational risk management and would like to move into a strategic focused role providing advice and guidance on key strategic initiatives direct to the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing support and challenge with a focus on ensuring risk is an integral part of the business in line with the Quilter Risk Management Framework.
- Leading and supporting the Senior Risk Manager with the completion of risk deep dives and/or risk assessments as part of strategic initiatives across the asset management business and escalating where risks may be outside of risk appetite.
- Providing advice and guidance to stakeholders and an independent view of the risks being faced, together with suggestions for mitigation.
- Representing the Risk function at formal governance and project working groups.
- Leading on the identification and evaluation of top risks.
- Supporting the quarterly risk appetite process.
- Leading the oversight of risk events and RCSA development.
- Inputting into investment / asset management division and wider Group risk reporting.
- Supporting the development of risk appetite, inputting into ad hoc or annual reviews.
- Supporting risk scenario, stress tests, and wind-down planning.
- Supporting the maintenance of the team’s profile and building relationships with stakeholders across the business.
About You
- Demonstrable experience within the asset management industry including exposure to relevant regulatory rules such as COLL, COBS, PRIN, and PROD.
- Experience in operational risk management preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
- Ability to work well in a small, collaborative team.
- Strong stakeholder management & relationship building skills.
