Kaleido exists to empower decisions that enhance project outcomes.
We support major projects in nuclear, defence and critical infrastructure sectors through three core services: strategic advisory, integrated modelling and digital PMO.
By making risk management a central component, we help leaders to anticipate, evaluate, and respond to uncertainty with confidence. Our team has a proven track record of building and assuring robust cost, schedule, and risk models that make major investments delivery ready.
We're looking for a Risk Consultant to join our team who can combine strong risk management fundamentals with curiosity, judgement and analytical thinking. Someone who wants to better understand capital project delivery, and support clients, project teams and senior decision-makers to make informed decisions on our nation's critical infrastructure and security.
The Role
You will join a growing start-up consultancy working across some of the UK's most complex projects and programmes, supporting stakeholders to understand risk and what it means for delivery.
The role sits within our professional services team, reporting directly to our Head of Strategic Advisory.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams to identify, assess and monitor risks and opportunities.
- Support the monthly risk cycle on client projects and/or work packages by ensuring the risk and opportunity register is regularly updated.
- Proactively schedule reviews with risk register owners to ensure that mitigation plans are implemented.
- Facilitate workshops that challenge thinking and capture the assumptions, dependencies and conditions that matter most.
- Undertake and/or assure Qualitative Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis using leading tools and methods, and contribute to the continuous improvement of them.
- Prepare risk reports and dashboards which include, but are not limited to, details on number and types of risks present, contingency drawdown positions, efficiency and effectiveness of mitigating actions, and changes over time.
- Leverage client risk governance processes and approaches, in alignment with corporate guidelines.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
