Altrad Risk Manager Position

Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join the team.

Role Overview

As a Risk Manager, you will lead risk management activities across the programme, maintaining risk registers, facilitating reviews and workshops, and providing clear and accurate risk reporting. Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will identify, assess and mitigate risks, supporting effective decision-making and successful project delivery.

Key Deliverables

  • Lead the development and management of project and programme risk registers.
  • Provide a strategic and directorate-level overview of risk, developing clear risk profiles against key activities and timescales.
  • Identify, assess and evaluate risks, opportunities and potential impacts.
  • Develop, implement and monitor appropriate risk mitigation and response plans.
  • Facilitate risk reviews, workshops and stakeholder meetings.
  • Provide clear and accurate risk reporting, highlighting key risks, trends and areas requiring action.
  • Use appropriate leadership styles to build trust, confidence, commitment and collaboration across project teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with industry partners and suppliers, monitoring performance across quality, time, cost and reliability.
  • Identify and manage emerging issues to minimise the risk of programme delays or cost escalation.
  • Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure effective risk management and informed decision-making.
  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of risk mitigation actions.
  • Ensure compliance with agreed processes, operating procedures and relevant infrastructure requirements.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in risk management, including experience as a lead or sole Risk Manager.
  • Good knowledge of risk management processes and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data and understand the wider risk picture.
  • Able to identify trends and potential risks from detailed information.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • APM Project Management Qualification
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner
  • Management of Risk (M_o_R)
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)

Desirable

  • Ability to communicate effectively at an executive level.
  • Ability to be agile and react to changes in the business environment.
  • Experience of managing risk in complex live operational environment
  • Experience of working in collaborative environment
