About The Role

Engineered to Protect, that's our promise, we protect what matters - our nations, our waters, our land, our cities, our people, our environment, our world.

The Programme Risk Manager is responsible for providing specialist risk management capability across SEA programmes, projects and bids, supporting delivery teams to identify, assess, manage and report threats and opportunities across the full lifecycle.

Risk Manager will be based at either our Beckington, Bristol or Barnstaple sites. This role allows for flexible working.

The salary for this role is up to £53k, depending on experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Establish and maintain robust risk management governance, including risk reviews, risk workshops, escalation routes, and decision-ready risk reporting
  • Maintain high-quality risk, opportunity, assumption, issue and dependency information, ensuring risk exposure is understood and actively managed against programme objectives, cost, schedule and OQOTOC commitments
  • Support qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including cost and schedule risk inputs, to improve delivery confidence, contingency planning and evidence-based decision making

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
