Are you passionate about helping organisations make informed decisions, manage uncertainty and strengthen governance?
We are looking for a proactive and organised Risk Officer to join our Assurance and Compliance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and enhancing risk management across the organisation, helping to ensure that strategic, operational and emerging risks are identified, assessed and managed effectively.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will help embed a positive risk culture, support assurance activities, coordinate internal audit processes, and provide high-quality reporting and insight to support decision-making. This role offers exposure to a wide range of organisational activities and provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their expertise in risk, assurance and governance.

Purpose and Main Duties
As Risk Officer, you will support the delivery and continuous improvement of the organisation's risk management framework, helping to ensure risks are identified, assessed and effectively managed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the maintenance and review of operational and strategic risk registers.
- Working with colleagues across the organisation to monitor risks and mitigating actions.
- Preparing risk reports and insights for senior leaders and governance committees.
- Coordinating internal audit activities and tracking audit findings and recommendations.
- Supporting assurance, compliance and risk management activities.
- Promoting a positive risk culture and risk awareness across the organisation.
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for a proactive and organised individual with an interest in risk management, governance and assurance. You will have:
- Experience supporting risk management, assurance, audit or compliance activities.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience producing clear reports and presenting information to different audiences.
- Knowledge of risk management principles and governance frameworks.
