Risk & Resilience Coordinator

We're looking for an organised, proactive and detail-focused Risk & Resilience Coordinator to join our Emergency Planning and Resilience Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in helping the Council prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies, while supporting our wider business continuity, risk management and health and safety responsibilities.

Working alongside experienced specialists, you'll help ensure our systems, processes and records remain accurate, effective and up to date. Your work will contribute directly to keeping services resilient, supporting compliance, and enabling the Council to meet its statutory obligations.

As a central member of the team, you'll coordinate and maintain a range of corporate systems and records, including accident and incident reporting, risk assessments, business continuity plans, training records and risk management processes. You'll also support the delivery of training, exercises, meetings, audits and awareness initiatives, helping to ensure actions are followed through and improvements are embedded across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintaining corporate systems, databases, registers and records to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
  • Supporting accident and incident reporting processes and the administration of health and safety systems.
  • Monitoring compliance with business continuity, health and safety and risk management requirements.
  • Coordinating training programmes, exercises, meetings, audits and inspections.
  • Tracking and monitoring actions arising from exercises, debriefs, inspections and reviews.
  • Working closely with managers and services across the Council to gather information and monitor progress against agreed actions.
  • Supporting the management of first aider and fire warden records, risk assessment registers and related compliance processes.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of the Council's emergency planning, resilience and health and safety arrangements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
