Role Overview
We are a fast-growing global proprietary trading firm looking for an experienced Risk Supervisor to join our Risk Department within the proprietary trading industry.
The Risk Supervisor is a mid-level position between Risk Team Members and the Risk Manager, responsible for handling complex trading and risk investigations, reviewing escalated cases, and supporting the day-to-day performance of the Risk Team. Previous hands-on experience within the Risk Department of a proprietary trading firm is mandatory for this role.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze trading activity across Challenge and Funded accounts.
- Review payout requests and conduct detailed trading-history investigations before approval.
- Identify suspicious, abusive, or prohibited trading behavior.
- Detect copy trading, account sharing, passing/account management services, coordinated trading, group trading, hedging between accounts, latency arbitrage, price-feed exploitation, and other forms of system or rule abuse.
- Analyze correlations between accounts, including trade timing, instruments, direction, lot sizes, and execution patterns.
- Review IP addresses, devices, login activity, VPN/VPS usage, and other data to identify connections between accounts or potential third-party trading.
- Investigate suspicious EA/bot usage and distinguish legitimate automated trading from abusive activity.
- Identify unusual risk patterns, excessive exposure, gambling behavior, and attempts to circumvent account or allocation limits.
- Conduct interviews with traders when required as part of risk investigations, assessing their trading knowledge, strategy, account activity, and the consistency between their explanations and actual trading behavior.
- Make evidence-based recommendations regarding payout approvals/rejections, account restrictions, additional verification, warnings, or account termination.
- Support and supervise Risk Team Members in complex investigations and review escalated cases before they reach the Risk Manager.
- Identify new abuse patterns and recommend improvements to internal risk controls, automated flags, and monitoring processes.
- Maintain clear documentation and evidence for risk decisions and investigations.

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
