Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post registration experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship programme. This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or preceptorship nurses.
You will be working on the rehabilitation ward.
Based in Walsall, West Midlands, Priory Lichfield Road is a rehabilitation service offering both level 1 and 2 care, all set within a modern, purpose-built centre. It is specifically designed to support both males and females who have severe, complex and enduring mental health needs, which might include treatment-resistant conditions.
Priory Lichfield Road benefits from excellent transport links, making it easily accessible for both staff and visitors. The site is conveniently located near local train stations, providing straightforward rail connections from surrounding areas, while regular bus services also operate nearby with routes directly serving the location. This makes commuting to and from the hospital both convenient and reliable using public transport.
What you'll be doing
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6–12 months of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, person-centred care within an agreed framework, working closely with patients, families, and carers to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care. You will act as the named nurse for a defined group of patients, accurately observing and engaging with individuals to assess their needs, monitor progress, and respond appropriately to changes in condition.

You will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive and safe care environment while effectively managing and prioritising nursing duties within the shift coordination framework. The role also involves participating in clinical and non-clinical meetings, handling patient and family feedback professionally, and supporting the delivery of excellent standards of care.
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
