Our Integrated Mental Health and Substance Misuse Service at HMP Long Lartin is looking for a dynamic and experienced qualified Mental Health Professional to join its team.
The team is innovative and forward thinking and committed to a Recovery focused approach. It works with people from initial assessment through to discharge, which can include transferring care to other providers such as hospitals or CMHTs, whilst working with a variety of agencies in the Offender Health Pathway.

This is an exciting and diverse role for an individual who is passionate about providing excellent quality leadership. You will have the privilege to influence and lead the provision of high-quality mental health care to some of society’s most vulnerable members.
Main duties of the job:
- You will be responsible for the management and leadership of the team. With a small clinical caseload, you will offer assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced based interventions.
- The team manages a caseload of patients, practicing within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and Care Programme Approach. An excellent working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and its application to people who require transfer to hospital will be required.
- The postholder will benefit from the experience and support of our Clinical Leads and that of its NHS employer.
