Road Rail Vehicle Plant Fitter
Role: RRV Plant Fitter
Location: Newark + National Travel Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 40 per week, Monday–Friday

We’re looking for an experienced RRV Plant Fitter to manage On-Track Plant (OTP), ensuring equipment stays reliable, safe, and at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
- Operating, maintaining, and servicing On-Track Plant (OTP) according to machine schedules
- Diagnosing and repairing faults across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems
- Ensuring safe and operational status of all assigned OTP and trackside plant
- Full compliance with:
- Legislation
- Railway Group Standards
- Network Rail Standards
- M&EE Codes of Practice
- Adhering to Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies
- Following directives from your line manager (Plant Manager)
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing heavy plant equipment, with specific knowledge of OTP/RRV systems
- Competency in fault-finding and repair across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronics
- Demonstrated strong safety awareness with a safety-first mentality
- Ability to work independently, taking ownership of plant performance
