Business Development – Road Freight | UK
Full-time | Office-based, Hybrid or Fully Remote | Long-term Opportunity

Alianza Logistics is looking for a commercially driven Business Development professional with experience in road freight to help us grow our presence in the UK and develop new business opportunities across the transport and logistics sector.
This is an opportunity for someone who understands the UK/European road freight market, enjoys developing business and building long-term commercial relationships, and wants to play an active role in growing our UK operation.
Your Role
- Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within the UK road freight market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners and subcontracted carriers.
- Develop a strong network of commercial contacts across the UK transport and logistics industry.
- Source reliable subcontracted carriers and negotiate competitive transport rates.
- Identify new growth opportunities and develop long-term business relationships.
- Monitor commercial performance and profitability in collaboration with the operations team.
- Work closely with our operational teams to ensure excellent service and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of Alianza Logistics UK.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in Business Development, Sales or a commercial role within road freight, freight forwarding, transport or logistics.
- Good understanding of the UK road freight market and its commercial dynamics.
- Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, win new business and develop profitable relationships.
- Experience working with subcontracted carriers and negotiating transport rates.
- An established network of industry contacts is an advantage.
- Knowledge of freight exchanges and transport platforms is beneficial.
- Proactive, self-motivated and results-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of your market.
- International road freight experience is a plus.
