European Road Freight Forwarder
Salary: £40,000+
Location: Hertfordshire
Our client, an established trailer operator and freight forwarder is looking to recruit a European Road Freight Forwarder to join their experienced team. Providing logistics solutions to manufacturers, importers and exporters across the UK and Europe, this successful business offers a fast-paced and varied working environment where your contribution will be valued and appreciated.
What you’ll do:
As European Road Freight Forwarder, you will organise freight movements across Europe and the UK, communicating with customers and suppliers, negotiating cost-effective solutions and ensuring a high standard of customer service throughout.
Duties include:
- Organising the movement of freight across Europe and the UK.
- Communicating accurate written and verbal instructions to customers and suppliers.
- Negotiating rates with customers and suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Identifying opportunities to increase turnover and profitability.
- Processing customer orders accurately through the company’s in-house operating system.
- Compiling customs documentation for freight moving to and from Europe.
- Building strong customer relationships through regular telephone contact.
- Providing professional, helpful and responsive customer service.

What you need:
We’re keen to speak to freight and logistics professionals with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organisational abilities and close attention to detail. You will have commercial awareness and the confidence to negotiate directly with customers and suppliers, identify opportunities
