Role Overview
As part of our European Roadfreight Customer Services team, you’ll manage daily operations for key clients, ensuring their goods are delivered quickly, cost-effectively, and with exceptional service. If you’re passionate about logistics, customer relationships, and making a real impact - this is the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the main point of contact for some of our most valued clients, managing their shipments and building lasting relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

Day to day operations support
- Support our Senior Account Manager team with day-to-day operations.
- Develop strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues throughout the UK and Europe, to help facilitate smooth and frictionless transport of orders to, from and within the continent.
- Enter shipments on our in-house system, you will generate orders and instructions for our suppliers.
- Manage multiple tasks at the same time, you will enjoy a busy and fast-paced atmosphere.

- Deliver exceptional service with prompt responses and proactive communication.
- Understand individual customer requirements and tailor your approach.
- Input accurate information into internal systems and follow procedures

Ownership & Responsibility
- Take full ownership of your workload and manage tasks independently.
- Show initiative and a desire to grow within the business.
- Learn from a knowledgeable and friendly team and contribute to Metro’s continued success.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who’s enthusiastic, customer-focused, and ready to grow. You’ll need:
- Ambition to develop your career in logistics.
- Excellent customer service skills and experience in a customer-facing role.
- Previous experience in European Roadfreight (preferred but not essential).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent planning and attention to detail.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Ideally educated to A-Level standard; Degree level is a plus.
