HGV Roamer/Tramper Driver

Location: Peterlee SR8 2JQ

Your Next HGV Driving Opportunity!

Looking for a driving role that offers great earning potential and no bank holiday working?

We're looking for HGV Drivers to join our team at our Peterlee Operation Centre.

If you enjoy travelling and no two weeks being the same, our Roamer/Tramper role could be for you.

Based from Peterlee, you'll travel to Copart Operation Centres across the UK, providing holiday cover and additional support during busy periods. You'll typically stay away from home 3-4 nights each week and receive generous additional allowances.

What's in it for you?

  • Earn approximately £52,516 per year (based on an average of 7 vehicle collections per day)
  • £3,000 annual Roamer allowance
  • £45 overnight allowance for every night away (£30 tax free)
  • Monday to Friday working
  • No bank holiday working
  • The opportunity to work across different locations throughout the UK

What you'll be doing

As one of our Car Transporter Drivers, you'll play an important role in keeping the automotive industry moving.

Every day is different as you collect, transport and deliver accident-damaged vehicles for some of the UK's leading insurers, fleet operators and automotive businesses.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
