Robot & Automation Engineer

£48,000 - £55,000 per year | Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Robot & Automation Engineer to join a skilled engineering team delivering robotic and automated assembly solutions for automotive and industrial projects.

This is a hands-on role covering robot programming, offline simulation, automation setup, commissioning, and customer-site installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and commission industrial robots and automation equipment.
  • Create offline robot programs and support simulated layouts.
  • Integrate hardware including weld equipment, vision systems, sealant, and gluing systems.
  • Support build, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and handover.

About You

  • Experience with industrial robot programming, ideally ABB and/or Fanuc.
  • Confident with robot setup, EIO programming, and hardware integration.
  • Experience in automated assembly environments.
  • Kuka, Yaskawa, or Siemens TIA Portal experience would be advantageous.
