🤖 Robotics Control Engineer (Senior & Principal)
Edinburgh | £65,000 - £95,000 + Benefits

Have you ever spent an evening optimising code for a system that nobody else realised was already "good enough"? If so, we might have the perfect opportunity.
We're partnering with an innovative technology business at the forefront of advanced robotics development and we're looking for two Robotics Control Engineers to join their growing team: ✅ Senior Robotics Control Engineer ✅ Principal Robotics Control Engineer
This is an opportunity to work on complex, real-world robotic systems where your algorithms don't just produce outputs on a screen... they move machines in the real world.
🚀 What you'll be doing
You'll play a key role in the development of advanced robotic platforms, helping to design and implement the control systems that allow them to operate safely, accurately and intelligently. Depending on your level, you'll be involved in:

- Developing control algorithms for robotic systems
- Motion planning and trajectory generation
- Sensor integration and feedback control
- Systems modelling, simulation and optimisation
- Real-time software development
- Working closely with multidisciplinary hardware and software teams
- Taking concepts from prototype through to deployment
Principal Engineers will also provide technical leadership, influence architecture decisions and help shape the future direction of the platform.
🎯 We'd love to hear from you if you have experience with:
- Robotics
- Control systems
- Autonomous systems
- Motion control
- Real-time software
- C++ and/or Python
- Sensor fusion
- Kinematics and dynamics
- Embedded or systems engineering
Bonus points for experience with:
- ROS / ROS2
- Model-based design
- Machine autonomy
- Industrial robotics
- Mobile robotics
- Aerospace, defence or complex engineered systems
