Inlux Robotics is a technology-focused company dedicated to designing and deploying advanced robotic solutions for real-world applications.

We are seeking a highly motivated Robotics Engineer to join our growing UK engineering team based in Birmingham.

Working as part of a multinational organisation headquartered in the Netherlands, you will design, develop, commission and support advanced robotic automation systems for customers across the UK and Europe.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced mechanical, electrical and software engineers on innovative automation projects across a wide range of manufacturing sectors. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role involving customer interaction, international collaboration and the opportunity to work with some of the world’s leading industrial robotics technologies.

  • Design and develop robotic automation solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Produce robotic simulations, cycle time studies and feasibility assessments.
  • Program, configure and commission cobots including safety systems.
  • Integrate robots with PLCs, machine vision, conveyors, tooling and peripheral equipment.
  • Support electrical and mechanical design teams during project development.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues through installation and particularly after-sales support.
  • Prepare technical documentation.
  • Provide customer training on operation and maintenance of robotic systems.
  • Work closely with engineering colleagues in the Netherlands.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and project delivery.

Essential Skills:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering etc
  • Experience programming industrial robots.
  • Good understanding of industrial automation systems.
  • Experience commissioning robotic production cells.
  • Knowledge of PLC integration and industrial communication protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with machine vision systems.
  • Knowledge of Siemens, Beckhoff, Rockwell or Omron PLCs.
  • Offline programming using RobotStudio, RoboGuide, KUKA.Sim, Process Simulate or similar software.
  • Understanding of CE/UKCA Machinery Regulations and risk assessment procedures.
  • Experience with collaborative robots (Cobots).
  • Basic programming knowledge in Python, C#, C++ or similar languages.
  • Experience working within multinational engineering teams.
