Job Title: Robotics Engineer

Location

Greet, North Gloucestershire (with international travel)

Salary

£50,000 – £70,000 OTE (DOE)

Shift Type

Monday–Thursday 08:00–17:00, Friday 08:00–14:00 (flexibility required for travel)

The Opportunity

A specialist engineering business at the forefront of bespoke automation and robotics solutions is seeking an experienced Robotics Engineer to join its growing team. This is a highly varied role offering the opportunity to work on complex turnkey automation projects across Europe and North America.

Working closely with design and controls engineers, you will play a key role in delivering innovative robotic solutions from concept through to commissioning, both in-house and on customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and program robotic systems for bespoke automation solutions
  • Integrate robotics within wider automation and control systems
  • Take ownership of projects from concept through to customer handover
  • Carry out on-site installation, commissioning, and fault finding
  • Support and service existing systems
  • Contribute to project management activities
  • Train and mentor colleagues in robotics best practices
  • Ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, on time and within scope

Technical Requirements

  • Proven experience in industrial robotics
  • Experience with one or more: Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Nachi
  • Background in manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems
  • Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet, Profinet)

Desirable Skills

  • PLC, HMI, SCADA or network programming
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working internationally

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence (max 3 penalty points)
  • Valid UK/EU passport with ability to travel to USA/Canada
  • No restrictions preventing international travel
  • Fluent English (additional languages beneficial)
