Calling all Roboticist's & Integration Engineers!

Oxa is expanding our Launchpad team, and we’re hiring across all experience levels—from talented Graduates to seasoned Senior and Staff Engineers.

About the Role

Launchpad is where autonomy meets the real world: covering integration, commissioning, testing, and initial deployments. We love flexible engineers who enjoy stepping out from behind a single domain to tackle every layer of the problem—whether that’s tweaking code, troubleshooting hardware in the field, or getting a vehicle running smoothly on-site.

What Makes These Roles Unique?

  • Full-Lifecycle Engineering: Bridge the gap between software development, hardware integration, and real-world execution. You’ll own problems end-to-end, moving fluidly between systems engineering, software diagnostics, and physical setup.
  • Real-World Application: Get hands-on with cutting-edge field robotics deployed alongside major global partners in airports, ports, and industrial yard operations.
  • Global Exposure: Based in the UK, with exciting secondment opportunities to work on-site with our partners in the UAE.

Responsibilities

You'll likely go deep on one or two of the following. Launchpad is more than one team, and each has a different centre of gravity — building the tooling and workflows, integrating and proving whole vehicles, or taking on the architectures we haven't attempted before.

  • Build the Tools, Not File Tickets for Them: The software our field engineers depend on is written by the people who need it — a viewer for every sensor and subsystem, a commissioning GUI, log-snipping and replay tooling, and automatic code change management. There's no separate tooling team to hand problems to. When a capability falls between two teams and nobody owns it, it becomes ours to write.
  • Built Our Own Factory to Develop Robots In: A mock industrial site on our own test estate — real vehicles, real workflows — where autonomy runs daily, unsupervised and where every new feature gets proven first.
  • Bare Metal to Driverless: Bringing up a new vehicle tests every assumption in the stack at once — network, sensors, controllers, calibration — and the real work is diagnosing why it doesn't come up. You'll be the person who traces a fault across the hardware–software boundary, finds the actual cause rather than a workaround, and then makes sure the next vehicle never hits it: fewer manual steps, better checks, days instead of weeks.
  • AI in Our Workflow, Not Our Pitch Deck: LLM coding assistants are standard issue here, and every merge request can get an automated review before a human sees it. We point models at the product too — automatic code change generation from release diffs, ML-based scenario recognition, telemetry-first triage of field issues. Some of our most interesting open threads are agent loops that take an operator's report of an autonomy issue and iterate towards a fix.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About Oxa

At Oxa, we're building the future of Industrial Mobile Autonomy (IMA) and are in the market for new talent.

Oxa’s customers are the operators of some of the world's largest industrial facilities. Our technology transforms existing industrial vehicles into intelligent autonomous fleets, unlocking new levels of productivity, safety, and performance.

‘The phone in your hand, the coffee on your desk, the shirt on your back - they all moved through a web of ports (air and sea), distribution yards and manufacturing hubs. This is the invisible circulatory system of global trade, and it relies entirely on a relentless, repetitive shuffle of goods. Towing.

This towing task happens in complex, commerce-critical industrial environments. Here, having self driving technology “do the driving” delivers immediate, measurable impact. IMA will revolutionise the movement of goods across the world's ports, airports, and yards.

You can be part of that as an Oxbot’ ‘Paul Newman - Founder and CEO’

Our products are built on four core technology pillars which come together to build a complete system:

  • Oxa Ware: Our modular autonomy hardware systems for consistent and repeatable integration of autonomy with existing vehicles.
  • Oxa Driver: Our Physical AI, embodied in Oxa Ware, self-driving software that enables vehicles to perceive, reason, and drive autonomously in complex real-world environments.
  • Oxa Foundry: Our development toolchain that leverages generative AI to continuously train and assure Oxa Driver, synthesising situations and sensor data.
  • Oxa Hub: Our suite of cloud services for monitoring, managing and orchestrating fleets driven by Oxa Driver, including an API for integration with existing logistics systems.

Behind these technologies is our exceptional team, the Oxbots. We are home to some of the world's leading experts in autonomous systems, robotics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and distributed software engineering. Together, we're solving some of the hardest technical challenges in autonomy, turning the research and development we do into production and deploying it into environments. Making robots do useful work.
