Join our team as a Rockdoor Service Engineer

Salary - Dependent on experience

Providing professional after-sales support to customers. You will inspect, service and repair Rockdoor composite doors, identify faults and complete adjustments to ensure doors operate safely and effectively. This customer-facing role is suited to a practical, organised individual with strong communication skills and experience in door installation, maintenance or repair.

Key responsibilities - Rockdoor service engineer

  • Attend customer appointments to inspect, service and repair Rockdoor composite doors and associated hardware.
  • Diagnose issues with door operation, alignment, locking mechanisms, hinges, handles and other components.
  • Carry out adjustments and repairs in line with manufacturer guidance and company procedures.
  • Assess reported faults, identify the work and parts required, and explain findings and next steps clearly to customers.
  • Complete service reports, job records and any required customer paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Manage tools, parts and materials responsibly, keeping the vehicle organised and reporting stock requirements.
  • Plan and prioritise appointments to support a reliable and efficient service.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner when representing the company at customer properties.
  • Follow health and safety requirements, safe working practices and relevant manual handling guidance.

Essential skills and experience - Rockdoor service engineer

  • Experience in door installation, repair, maintenance or a similar practical trade is desirable.
  • Good practical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs carefully.
  • Confident communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Good organisation and attention to detail when planning visits and completing job records.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer appointments.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and appropriately.
  • A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn about Rockdoor products and service processes.
