The Rokos School of Government (RSG)

The Rokos School of Government (RSG) is being established to prepare a new generation of leaders capable of addressing the world's most complex challenges. Initially to act as the Dean's principal partner in establishing and rapidly scaling up the new RSG, the Business Operations Manager will lead the development of the RSG's core structures and systems and ensure effective operational delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design, recruit, and lead the RSG's Professional Services team.
  • Advise and support the Dean in developing strategic priorities and in building key external relationships.
  • Help drive an ambitious growth plan over the first five years.
  • Develop and maintain constructive dialogue and communication with key contacts across the School, the wider University, and externally.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in senior administrative roles and operational management.
  • A record of leadership and experience of managing and developing professional teams.
  • Significant experience of strategic financial planning and budget management.
  • Ability to deliver in a complex and devolved environment.
  • Degree level education or equivalent.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Prioritise work, work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills.
