Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Leeds area for a Roller Shutter Fitter. The Roller Shutter Fitter will install, service, and repair roller shutters and related security doors at customer locations, ensuring all work is completed safely and to specification.

Day-to-day tasks include:

- Measuring
- Fitting manual and electric shutters
- Testing and commissioning installations
- Diagnosing and fixing mechanical or electrical faults
The role involves working with hand and power tools, reading and interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining accurate job records and reports. The Roller Shutter Fitter will also interact with customers on-site, provide basic operation guidance, and follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fitting roller shutters, steel doors, fire and smoke curtains.
- Competence with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical or electrical components.
- Ability to read measurements, technical drawings, and follow installation instructions accurately.
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices, including working at height and manual handling.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing and repairing faults.
- Effective communication and customer service skills for on-site client interactions.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing time and tasks efficiently.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel away from the Greater Leeds Area.
- Relevant trade qualification (e.g., in construction, carpentry, metalwork, or similar) is beneficial.
- Previous experience in security installations is a must.
