Rolling Stock Trainer / Engineering Training Assessor
Are you Ex forces with training delivery experience? Maybe you’re a personable Technician looking to pass on your knowledge?
We are Currently seeking a Training and competency / Rolling stock trainer to join a key engineering client based in Derby.
As a Trainer, you will be working Monday to Friday on a standard 40 Hour working week on Days. In return you will be offered a competitive Salary of £41,700pa
Key Responsibilities (including but not exhaustive)
- Assess employees’ technical knowledge and practical competence against relevant rail industry standards.
- Provide feedback, guidance and support to learners to help them achieve required qualifications and competency levels.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date training and competency records and management systems.
- Identify skills gaps and work with managers to develop appropriate training and competency plans.
- Develop, review and update training materials and assessment processes in line with changing rail industry standards.
- Support operational teams in maintaining workforce competence, safety and compliance.
- Ensure assessment and quality assurance processes are consistent, effective and audit-ready.

Those from any ex forces engineering backgrounds with training delivery or existing Rolling stock technicians and similar industries (maintenance experienced) looking to move in a different direction will be considered
Requirements
- Engineering Qualified to a minimum level 3
- Rolling stock experience is desirable or another similar industry (HGV, heavy mechanical, Avionics REME, Navy Marine etc)
- Training delivery experience is desirable
- Proven commitment to continuous personal development
- Good attitude
- Willingness to undertake Assesor qualifications if not already held
