Service Workshop Controller

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Sunningdale

An exceptional marque demands an exceptional standard of aftersales care.

At Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Sunningdale, our clients expect more than technical excellence. They expect meticulous attention to detail, effortless service and the reassurance that their motor car is being cared for by people who understand what the Rolls-Royce name represents.

We are looking for an accomplished Service Workshop Controller to lead the day-to-day operation of our workshop and ensure that our team of highly skilled technicians consistently delivers to those expectations.

The Role

As Workshop Controller, you will be at the heart of our Aftersales operation, taking responsibility for the effective flow of work through the workshop and providing clear, confident leadership to our team of technicians.

This is about far more than allocating jobs.

You will set the tempo and standards within the workshop, ensuring that every motor car receives the time, expertise and attention it deserves, while maintaining an efficient and commercially successful operation.

Working closely with our Service Advisors, Parts team and Aftersales management, you will ensure that everyone is working towards the same goal: an exceptional result for every client, every time.

You Will

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Lead, support and motivate a team of skilled technicians, creating an environment where people take pride in producing their very best work.
  • Plan and control the daily workshop workload, balancing technician capability, efficiency, productivity and client commitments.
  • Allocate work intelligently, ensuring the right technician is assigned to the right task.
  • Maintain visibility of every vehicle throughout its workshop journey and proactively manage progress against promised completion times.
  • Ensure repairs, servicing and diagnostic work are completed to the exacting technical and quality standards expected of a luxury marque.
  • Work closely with Service Advisors to provide accurate and timely updates, enabling them to deliver an effortless experience to our clients.
  • Identify potential delays or challenges early and take ownership of finding the right solution.
  • Drive workshop productivity and efficiency without ever compromising quality.
  • Champion a culture of attention to detail, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure manufacturer processes, health and safety requirements and workshop standards are consistently maintained.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The Standard We Expect

Our clients have chosen one of the world's most prestigious motor car marques, and their expectations naturally reflect that.

For that reason, we are looking for someone who understands that "good enough" is not the standard.

You will be someone who notices the details others might miss. Someone who remains composed when the workshop is busy, communicates clearly when priorities change and takes genuine pride in seeing a team deliver an outstanding result.

You will understand that workshop performance isn't measured purely by hours sold or vehicles completed. It is also measured by the quality of the work, the confidence of our clients and our ability to deliver on the promises we make.

About You

You will ideally have previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, Technical Team Leader or similar role within a premium automotive environment.

More Importantly, You Will Bring

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Excellent technical understanding and workshop awareness.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
  • A calm, decisive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong communication skills across both technical and customer-facing teams.
  • A genuine commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • The ability to develop technicians and bring the best out of the people around you.
  • An understanding that efficiency and exceptional quality should complement one another, not compete.
