Romanian Voice Actor – Freelance AI Trainer Project
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Romanian Voice Actor – Freelance AI Trainer Project based in United Kingdom.
This freelance opportunity is designed for an experienced Romanian voice professional interested in helping shape the next generation of AI-powered speech technology.
You will contribute authentic, high-quality Romanian voice data used to improve the clarity, naturalness, and expressiveness of AI-generated speech.
The work combines professional voice performance with speech evaluation, linguistic feedback, and AI training activities.
You will record scripted content while assessing AI outputs for pronunciation, tone, pacing, emotional expression, and regional accuracy.
Your expertise will help refine voice models and evaluation standards for applications spanning accessibility, education, entertainment, and more.
The project offers a flexible remote environment suited to experienced contractors with a professional recording setup.
It is an opportunity to apply your voice expertise to emerging AI technologies while directly influencing how machines communicate in Romanian.
Accountabilities
- Record scripted material in Romanian with clear pronunciation, natural delivery, consistent pacing, and appropriate emotional expression.
- Produce high-quality voice recordings suitable for AI training and speech-model development.
- Evaluate AI-generated speech for linguistic accuracy, pronunciation, naturalness, tone, pacing, and expressiveness.
- Identify and annotate errors or inconsistencies in AI-generated outputs and provide clear, actionable feedback.
- Assess regional and linguistic variations in Romanian to help improve the authenticity and robustness of voice models.
- Collaborate with project teams to refine prompts, evaluation methodologies, annotation practices, and voice-design guidelines.
- Apply professional voice-acting expertise to distinguish natural human speech from awkward, inaccurate, or unnatural AI-generated responses.
- Maintain consistent recording quality and follow technical, linguistic, and project-specific guidelines throughout assignments.

Requirements
- Demonstrated professional experience in Romanian voice acting, dubbing, narration, or a closely related performance discipline.
- Native-level or highly proficient Romanian language skills with excellent pronunciation and linguistic accuracy.
- Strong vocal control, including the ability to adjust tone, pacing, emphasis, emotion, and delivery according to different scripts and contexts.
- Excellent listening and evaluation skills, with the ability to identify subtle pronunciation, fluency, and naturalness issues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to provide precise, constructive feedback.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to follow detailed project guidelines.
- Experience with linguistic annotation, voice coaching, AI training, speech evaluation, or similar work is a plus.
- Access to a reliable computer, stable internet connection, high-quality microphone, and quiet recording environment.
- Ability to work independently and consistently as a remote freelance contractor.
- Curiosity about AI and an interest in contributing professional expertise to emerging speech technologies.
