Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Roofer role based in Redcar. The Roofer will carry out day-to-day tasks including installing, repairing, and maintaining various roof types on residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities include:

- Inspecting roofs to identify issues
- Removing old materials
- Fitting new roofing systems
- Ensuring proper insulation and waterproofing
The role involves working at height using appropriate safety equipment, handling tools and materials, and collaborating with team members to complete projects on schedule and to company quality standards. The Roofer will also communicate with supervisors and site contacts, follow health and safety procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Practical experience with roofs, including installation, repair, and maintenance across flat and pitched roofing systems.
- Skills in carpentry for structural elements, fascia and soffit installation, and roof framing work.
- Competence in insulation installation to improve energy efficiency and protect roofing structures.
- Proficiency in waterproofing methods and materials to ensure durable, weather-resistant roof finishes.
- Ability to work safely at height, including proper use of ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection equipment.
- Strong awareness of health and safety regulations and safe work practices on construction sites.
- Good physical fitness, manual dexterity, and ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Attention to detail, reliable timekeeping, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Full valid driver’s license and reliable transport to Redcar and surrounding areas is beneficial.
- Previous roofing or construction experience and relevant trade certifications are an advantage.
