Based in Altrincham, the company offers a full service from design and installation through to commissioning, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service. Atlantic Renewables is fully MCS accredited and employs qualified electricians and experienced roofers to ensure structural integrity and waterproofing standards are met on every project. Using CAD drawings, PV Sol design reports, and tailored solar string designs, the team delivers innovative, high-performance solar solutions. Role Description
The Roofer role at Atlantic Renewables is a full-time, on-site position based in Manchester. The Roofer will install solar mounting equipment on a variety of roof types, ensuring structural safety and weatherproofing integrity for residential and commercial solar projects. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Preparing roof surfaces
- Fitting mounting rails and brackets
- Assisting with panel placement
- Working closely with electricians and designers to complete installations to specification

The role involves working at height, following strict health and safety procedures, and maintaining clean, organized work areas on active construction sites. The Roofer will also help identify and report any roof defects, support routine maintenance, and contribute to high-quality customer service through professional on-site conduct.
Qualifications
- Proven roofing experience, including installation, repair, and maintenance of various roof types (e.g., tile, slate, flat roofing).
- Experience installing solar mounting systems or strong willingness to learn solar installation techniques under guidance.
- Valid certifications and cards for construction work (e.g., CSCS), and proven ability to work safely at height; IPAF or equivalent access equipment certification is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites, including use of PPE and adherence to risk assessments and method statements.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings or installation plans; familiarity with basic construction measurements and tools.
- Good physical fitness and stamina, with the capability to lift, carry, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with roofers, electricians, and project managers.
- Full UK driving licence and reliable travel to different sites across Manchester and Cheshire.
- Previous experience in renewable energy or solar installations is beneficial but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate.
