Roofer – Solar PV Installation

£30,000 – £40,000 | Hertfordshire
We’re looking for an experienced Roofer to join a Solar PV installation team, working on domestic and commercial properties across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. Solar experience is preferred but not essential, offering a chance for some to break into the industry.
The role will involve preparing roofs for PV installations, fitting mounting systems and panels, and ensuring all roofing work is completed safely and remains fully weatherproof.

Key Responsibilities
- Removing and reinstating tiles, slates, and other roof coverings
- Installing roof hooks, brackets, flashing, rails, and mounting equipment
- Installing PV panels and bird proofing
- Cutting, shaping, sealing, and weatherproofing roofing materials
- Carrying out minor roofing repairs where required
- Working safely across pitched and flat roofs
- Supporting the wider installation team on site

Requirements
- You’ll need proven UK roofing experience, particularly with pitched roofs, tiles, and slate, alongside a strong understanding of roof construction and weatherproofing.
- Solar PV, solar mounting systems, roof integrated PV, and flat roofing experience would be advantageous.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
