Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Roofing Assistant to join our growing team in London, United Kingdom. This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to develop their skills in the roofing trade whilst working alongside experienced professionals. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality roofing maintenance and installation services across the London area, ensuring we consistently meet our clients' expectations for quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion.

- Assist experienced roofers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems on various residential and commercial properties
- Prepare work sites by gathering materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring all items are organised and readily accessible
- Support the fitting and securing of roofing materials, including tiles, slates, membranes, and flashings, following established procedures and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used on each project
- Assist with the removal and disposal of old roofing materials in an environmentally responsible manner
- Perform general labouring duties including carrying materials, mixing compounds, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standard
- Adhere strictly to all Health and Safety regulations and site-specific requirements
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues regarding progress, challenges, and any safety concerns
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive team culture
- Undertake additional duties as required to support project delivery and organisational objectives

Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience working in a general labouring role, preferably within the construction industry
- Ability to work safely at heights and comfort with working on roofs
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding manual work
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills within the roofing trade
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent people skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
- Basic understanding of Health and Safety practices in construction
Desirable:
- Carpentry and joinery skills or experience
- Previous experience in the roofing industry
- Knowledge of different roofing materials and techniques
- CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) or equivalent
- First Aid at Work certification
- Driving licence and access to own transport
- Formal qualifications in construction or a related trade
