Role Description
The Roofing Estimator role is a full-time, hybrid position, preferably based in Southern England, but not essential as home working will be considered for a supply motivated candidate. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and site information to prepare accurate material and labour estimates for roofing projects.
- Obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotes.
- Preparing detailed tenders and proposals.
- Updating estimates based on design changes or site conditions.
- Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to clarify requirements, explain cost breakdowns, and support budget planning.
- Maintaining records of estimates.
- Assisting with project scheduling and procurement planning.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes and pricing models.

Qualifications
- Strong numeracy and analytical abilities, with experience preparing cost estimates, budgets, or tenders in construction or roofing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of flat roofing systems, materials, and installation methods, as well as familiarity with UK building regulations and health and safety standards.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines simultaneously.
- Previous experience in a roofing, construction, or quantity surveying environment; relevant vocational training or a construction-related qualification is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and conduct, where necessary, site visits to assess project conditions.
