Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Roofing Estimator role based in Liverpool. The Roofing Estimator will review project drawings, specifications, and site information to prepare accurate cost estimates for flat roofing projects, including materials, labour, and subcontractor services. Daily tasks include conducting site visits and roof surveys, measuring and quantifying work, and identifying appropriate roofing systems and methods. The role involves preparing detailed quotations and tender submissions, collaborating with project managers and procurement teams, and liaising with clients and suppliers to clarify scope and pricing. The Roofing Estimator will also update and maintain estimating records, support project budgeting, and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes.

  • Experience in construction or roofing estimating, ideally within commercial or industrial flat roofing projects.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with proven ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with estimating or take-off software and standard office applications (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing).
  • Knowledge of felt, liquid-applied waterproofing, and hot melt roofing systems, including installation methods and typical details.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel locally for site visits and surveys.
  • Health and safety awareness and understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.
