Summary

Room Attendant – Flexi Hours

Salary: £13.71 per hour + Tronc

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the daily task list and ensuring all rooms/tasks are completed at the end of the shift.
  • To read and sign the housekeeping handover book noting any special requirements for the day ahead.
  • To ensure that the guest is always addressed by their correct name / title.
  • To ensure that guest doors are closed during service (with the “Rooms Being Serviced” card on the door handle) and that doors are locked on leaving the room.
  • To be able to complete the cleaning and checking of all allocated rooms daily within the shift (both occupied and departure).
  • To ensure that all guest bedrooms, bathrooms and associated areas are serviced and maintained to the standard of hygiene and cleanliness specified by the established policy and procedure.
  • To remove food trays, trolleys, dead flowers and old fruit from guest rooms and place in the Room Service Areas, keeping the corridors free from debris at all times.
  • To ensure that the guests’ personal property and guest requests are dealt with in an efficient and correct manner.
  • To ensure that guests’ clothing is folded and placed neatly but not removed from the areas.
  • To replace all guest supplies and stationary when necessary and to the correct standard.
  • To sort and separate linen according to type and dispose of it in the correct manner according to the established policy and procedure.
  • To ensure that any damaged or badly stained linen is reported to the Housekeeping Shift Leader and disposed of according to procedure.
  • To dispose of all rubbish following the correct procedure, leaving the corridor free from debris at all times.
  • To use all cleaning products and materials correctly and with care following the established COSHH procedures.
  • To complete and follow up on any Special cleaning instruction as given by The Housekeeping Management.
