Role Description

The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms and related areas are cleaned, organized, and presented to the hotel’s standards on a daily basis. Core tasks include:

The role also involves:

  • Reporting maintenance issues

  • Respecting guest privacy while working efficiently within established timeframes

Room Attendants interact with guests in a courteous, professional manner, responding to requests and assisting with basic queries to support a positive guest experience. This is a full-time hybrid role based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with primary duties performed on-site at the hotel and some administrative or training tasks potentially carried out from home.

Qualifications

  • Housekeeping and Clean Rooms skills, with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in guest rooms and corridors.
  • Laundry skills, including proper handling, sorting, and care of linens, towels, and guest laundry as required.
  • Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with guests and collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Previous experience in a hotel, hospitality, or cleaning environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to follow safety, hygiene, and infection-control procedures and to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and lift or move items such as linens and cleaning equipment.
  • Basic English language proficiency; additional language skills are an advantage.
