Position: Room Attendant (Zero-Hours)

What will I be doing?

The Room Attendant will be committed to ensuring guest rooms and public areas are serviced to the required standards, and assisting with any guest requests or queries.

  • To clean and make up all allocated rooms to the standard required
  • To attend briefings and training sessions as required
  • To be fully aware of health and safety hazards and report any concerns immediately
  • To report any missing items from rooms, e.g. bathrobes, soap dishes
  • To deal with lost and found guest property promptly and efficiently according to hotel procedure
  • To ensure that any maintenance issues are reported promptly and correctly
  • To carry out any other cleaning duties as specified by your supervisor
  • To report to the supervisor any rooms not requiring service or with DND signs in assigned area
  • To assist with the training of new starters as required
  • To ensure your designated corridor and pantry area are cleaned before leaving for the day
  • To maintain the cleanliness and supply of all allocated areas, including all corridors, storage areas, staff areas, management offices, and ancillary areas, to the standard laid down by the hotel.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably within a large 4- or 5-star hotel
  • Confidence and professionalism when interacting with high profile guests
  • Has a strong eye for detail, presentation standards?
  • Good spoken command of the English language
  • Is happy to work alone but take direction when required
  • Manages time and resources effectively.
  • Flexible to work weekends and holidays.
