Room Attendant

Reporting to: Floor Housekeeper / Head Housekeeper / Executive Housekeeper
Tasks/Responsibilities
- Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, apartments, and guest areas to the standards required
- Restock and replenish bath care products
- Greet guests using their name and title
- Ensure that guests’ personal property requests are dealt with in an efficient and correct manner
- To ensure that guest’s clothing is folded and stored correctly
- Replace all guests’ supplies and stationaries as necessary and to the correct standard
- Be responsible for any keys or spectral link phones assigned to you whilst on duty
- Ensure that all of the rooms assigned to you are serviced in a timely manner and to COMO standard
- Ensure all bed linens are changed and beds are made to standard and towels are replenished
- Replenish bathroom products (e.g. soap, shampoo, tissues)
- Ensure the safety of guests’ belongings by keeping door closed whilst servicing the rooms and checking the doors are securely closed when leaving
- Ensure allocated rooms are cleaned within the specified time (during shift), this includes both occupied rooms and departures
- Ensure that any damaged/stained linen is to be reported to the Floor Housekeeper
- Report for work on time and dressed in your correct uniform and well groomed
- Being able to maintain effective communication with your supervisors by giving clear and concise information at all times
- Relate to supervisors any issues that may arise
- Assist Floor Housekeeper in maintaining accurate records in linen inventory, guest supplies, cleaning supplies, lost and found, and handover
- Understand the daily brief each day for tasks, taking special care on instructions and special requirements
- Report any room discrepancies each day
- Ensure guest corridors are clean
- Report any maintenance faults to the Floor Housekeeper
- Take extra care with V.I.P rooms
- Be vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to the Floor Housekeeper/Duty manager
- Report any rooms that do not require service, are on double lock or do not disturb after 2pm to the Housekeeping Supervisor on duty along with any special guest requests
- Make sure if allocated a spectral link phone, that they are switched on, before leaving the housekeeping office and answer promptly at all times
- Help Floor Housekeeper handle any complaints relating to Housekeeping in a professional and courteous manner
