Room Leader - Ecclesfield

Pay: up to £29,307.20

40 hours per week

At our Ecclesfield nursery, our children learn through outstanding play and activities designed to aid their development. This can only be achieved by having incredible staff members who deliver these activities. We are looking for an experienced ROOM LEADER to help lead these amazing practitioners and apprentices and help them become the leaders of tomorrow.

This role is the perfect stepping stone into a senior leadership position within our Ecclesfield nursery. You will still be able to enjoy all the fun and adventure on a daily basis, with the added knowledge you are helping shape our future room leaders too.

Your responsibilities include:

  • You are responsible for supervising and leading a team of practitioners and apprentices in your room.
  • Identifying any knowledge gaps in your team and working with the nursery manager to fill these gaps through ongoing training.
  • Ensuring all reporting is up to date and filed and reported accordingly.
  • Participate and sometimes lead staff training, meetings, workshops, and open days.
  • Ensure your key children are encouraged and supported to flourish in an enabling and stimulating environment.
  • Ensuring all safeguarding policies are adhered to at all times and any breaches of this are reported to the designated safeguarding lead immediately.

To be eligible, you must hold a level 3 Early Years qualification and have at least 1 year's experience working in a day nursery with under 2s.

A full job description can be given upon request. You will need to complete an enhanced DBS certificate and receive 2 satisfactory reference requests upon an offer of employment being made.
