Nursery – Bright Horizons Surbiton Ewell Road Day Nursery and Preschool
Location: Surbiton Salary: Starting from £32,864 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience) This is a fixed-term role for maternity cover.
About the Role

We’re looking for a Room Leader with a Level 3 in Early Years to join our Bright Horizons Surbiton Ewell Road Day Nursery and Preschool. The Role
As a Room Leader, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team to deliver exceptional care and education, ensuring all children in your room reach their individual milestones.
- Promoting child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding, with a strong focus on legislation and best practice.
- Building strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to meet each child’s unique needs.
- Creating fun, inclusive, and stimulating learning environments for children.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in Early Years settings, ideally as a:
- Room Leader,
- Nursery Nurse,
- Nursery Practitioner, or
- Early Years Educator.
- A passion for creating engaging, inclusive environments.
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Clear knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and legislative requirements.
- Excellent communication skills (effective with both children and adults).
- Ability to build trust and partnerships with colleagues and parents.
