Salary £29,952 - £31,200 (depending on experience and qualifications with regular pay reviews)

Our Islington Square Day Nursery in Islington is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Room Leader (Preschool) to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery

Parent Partnership

We love to share the joy, excitement and sense of wonder children experience at nursery. Parents are kept up-to-date on their child’s development through our Famly app which helps keep you involved in nursery life. Those magical everyday moments are captured through photos which we share to give you a great insight into your little one’s nursery adventures.

We have a dedicated team of passionate, supportive nursery staff who love what they do and genuinely care about our children. Our teachers understand the importance of early childhood education and work tirelessly to provide the best start for your child, ensuring they have the best opportunities to thrive.

Our nursery equips children with essential life skills and builds a strong foundation for their transition into primary school, encouraging confidence, independence and a love for learning.

Outdoor area

Our wonderful outdoor decking space features a play ship, water play, mud kitchen and role-play areas, providing endless opportunities for fun, imaginative play with friends. The nursery garden allows children to engage in hands-on experiences that connect them with nature while nurturing social, physical, and cognitive development.

Location and Travel

Our nursery is situated in the heart of Islington, London. We are conveniently located near Angel and Highbury and Islington tube stations which are just a ten minute walk away.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
  • Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
  • Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents and carers about their child
  • Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
  • Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
  • Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
  • SEND knowledge and experience would be desirable, given the needs within the room.
